We’re offering free group fitness and yoga sessions in residence this term. If you live in UBC Student Housing, these sessions are for you!

Please note that there will be no classes held on Stat Holidays. Schedule subject to change without notice.

COVID precautions

What precautions do I need to take?
  • Non-medical masks mandatory for yoga. Masks not required for group fitness sessions.
  • Bring your own mat (yoga)
  • Sanitize hands before entering
  • Follow all health/safety instructions provided by the instructor
  • Follow all UBC and residence COVID rules and guidelines
What precautions is Student Housing taking?
  • Spaces are sanitized twice daily
  • Hand sanitizing stations available at Commonsblock and fitness space entrances

Group Fitness Sessions

Led by a fitness instructor, sessions are typically 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Residents from any residence community operated by UBC Student Housing can attend these sessions.

Tuesdays

Location: Acadia Park Fitness Room
Time: 7 pm

Saturdays

Location: Marine Drive Fitness Room
Time: 10 am

Location: Ponderosa Commons Fitness Room
Time: 11 am

Sundays

Location: Acadia Park Fitness Room
Time: 10 am

Location: Exchange Fitness Room
Time: 11 am

Yoga Sessions

Led by a yoga instructor, sessions are typically 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Residents from any residence community operated by UBC Student Housing can attend these sessions.

Wednesdays

Location: Acadia Park Activity Room
Time: 6:30 pm

Location: Exchange Dance Room
Time: 7:30 pm

Sundays

Location: Acadia Park Activity Room
Time: 9 am

Do I need to register?

Nope! All classes are drop-in.

Please note that classes have a limited number of people per session, depending on the size of the room they’re being held in. Arrive early to secure a spot.

Will I be the only newbie?

Don’t know how to downward dog? Don’t worry, our awesome instructors will be there to help you, so don’t feel lost!

What should I wear/bring?

  • Dress in comfortable workout clothes and athletic shoes.
  • Bring a water bottle.
  • For yoga:
    • bring your own mat and, if you have them, yoga blocks.
    • wear your mandatory non-medical mask.

Which sessions can I attend?

Residents from any residence area operated by UBC Student Housing can attend any session.
