Student Housing and Community Services (SHCS) administers accommodation for over 13,000 students at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC. Our goal is to provide an environment that helps students succeed both academically and socially. SHCS also oversees operations for UBC Bookstore, Campus Mail, Child Care, Conferences and AccommodationFood Services and Parking.

Janice Robinson, Director of Residence Life and Administration, provides leadership and direction for student life in UBC’s student residences. Her impressive 30-year career in student university housing has spanned North America: University of Wisconsin, University of Nebraska, Trinity Western University, and UBC (25 years). She has been active with the Association of College and University Housing Officers and the Ontario Association of College and University Housing Officers. Janice holds a BA and MSc.
