In addition to the primary eligibility criteria, to be eligible to live in Student Family Residence:

• One adult resident must be a full-time student who meets the academic credit load requirements and maintain good standing with UBC.
• The family must maintain good standing with Student Housing.

Household composition

Student Family Residence at Acadia Park is reserved exclusively for student families:

1. One or more adults with one or more dependent children (18 years of age or younger)
2. More than one adult in a long-term relationship.

Age

• Age requirement (adults): 19 years or older.
• Age requirement (children): 18 years or younger.

Primary residence of child(ren)

At least one child must reside in Acadia Park for a minimum of ten months per year.

What unit size/type am I eligible to live in?

Acadia Park features one, two, three and four bedroom units.

You are eligible to live in a unit that is an appropriate fit for your family size and composition, aligned with Canadian National Occupancy Standards.

Waitlists/offers

Once your application is accepted, you will be placed on a waitlist for the unit sizes you are eligible for, and you will receive an offer once you reach the top of the waitlist for any of your eligible unit sizes.

For example, if you have one child, you might receive an offer for a one bedroom, one bedroom + den, or a two bedroom unit, depending on which unit size you reach the top of the waitlist for first.
