Student Housing and Hospitality Services (SHHS) administers accommodation for more than 9,000 students in 12 residence areas at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, B.C. Our goal is to provide an environment that helps students succeed both academically and socially. SHHS also oversees operations for UBC Food ServicesUBC Conferences and Accommodation, and UBC Childcare.

Janice Robinson, Director of Residence Life and Administration, provides leadership and direction for student life in UBC’s student residences. Her impressive 30-year career in student university housing has spanned North America: University of Wisconsin, University of Nebraska, Trinity Western University, and UBC (25 years). She has been active with the Association of College and University Housing Officers and the Ontario Association of College and University Housing Officers. Janice holds a BA and MSc.
