Graduate Students

Women studying.

Everyone at Ponderosa, or ‘Pond’ as we like to call it, is welcoming and looks out for each other. We are a tight-knit community, whether it’s lending a cooking utensil or arranging a trip.

Over 1,300 graduate students live in residence at UBC. We recommend graduate students apply for the following:

  1. Year Round Residence—Brock Commons, Exchange, Fraser Hall, Iona House, Marine Drive, Ponderosa Commons, tə šxʷhəleləm̓s tə k̓ʷaƛ̓kʷəʔaʔɬ, Thunderbird
  2. Green College
  3. St. John’s College
  4. Student Family Residence—Acadia Park

Applying

Because demand to live in residence is high, we recommend applying at the same time you submit your graduate program application. We accept applications any time and you do not have to wait for an offer of admission to apply to live in residence.

Summer & visiting grad students
